Dan is the Director for Community Action Development Corporation of Allentown which does community and economic development in Allentown’s urban core focusing on helping low to moderate income residents improve their neighborhoods, open businesses or become advocates for improving their quality of life. Some of their initiatives include the Main Street Program for 7th Street, Start Your Business Program, Technical Assistance for small businesses and two neighborhood revitalization efforts.
Dan has been a member of Union Baptist Church in Allentown for over 30 years and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for its 600 member congregation. In addition, Dan serves as Treasurer of the Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley, a federally–funded clinic, which provides primary healthcare, dental and ob-gyn services to low-income residents in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton. Dan also serves as Treasurer for the Lehigh Conference of Churches and The Martin & Coretta Scott King Memorial.
Dan is currently a Board Member of the Allentown Chamber of Commerce, the African-American Business Leaders Council, the Allentown School District Foundation and Allentown NAACP’s Executive Committee.
Dan is also an entrepreneur and runs several small businesses.
Dan earned his BA degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and his Masters in Business from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Dan has also attended the Harvard Business School for Management Training.
